Light into Europe organizes new edition of Bonfire Night in Bucharest

Bonfire Night, an event that is celebrated on November 5 in every village and city in UK, will also be held at Crowne Plaza Hotel (1, Poligrafiei St.) in the Romanian capital city on November 4 this year. The event is organized by Light into Europe, a charity that helps the 85,000 registered blind adults and 31,000 registered deaf adults who 85 percent dependent solely on social benefits.

Tickets from this event can be purchased in advance for RON 50 for adult, RON 25 for children over 10 years old, or for RON 75 from the entrance in the evening of the event. For children under 10 the entrance is free. To get tickets, email bonfirenight@lightintoeurope.org.

Guy Fawkes Night, also known as Guy Fawkes Day and Bonfire Night, is an annual commemoration observed on November 5, primarily in Great Britain. On  November 5, 1605, Guy Fawkes, a member of the Gunpowder Plot, was caught guarding explosives placed beneath the House of Lords and arrested. Celebrating the fact that King James I had survived the attempt on his life, people lit bonfires around London.
