Local bakery and pastry company aims to expand outside Bucharest
Romanian bakery and pastry company Ana Pan, owned by the Copos family, wants to change the design of the 13 units it owns in Bucharest and to expand outside the capital.
It inaugurated on November 26 the first bakery under the new concept, following an investment of EUR 120,000.
In the next two years, the company wants to open new stores and expand outside of Bucharest, according to Alexandra Copos de Prada, the company’s general manager, reports local Profit.ro. Ana Pan has also introduced a new line of products, namely fresh food.
The company currently has 13 own stores in Bucharest and 7 shop-in-shop units developed in partnership with the retailer Mega Image. Ana Pan also opened a new concept store last year under the brand Ana Baking Company.
The company estimates a 20% sales increase this year, from EUR 3.2 million in 2014.
