Local RCS &RDS launches mobile telephony in Italy, wants chain of Romanian distributors there
Local telecom company RCS & RDS has launched its mobile telephony service Digi Mobil in Italy, catering to the needs of over 1 million Romanians living there. Italy is the second destination country for Romanian workers where RCS &RDS launches its services, after launching Digi Mobil in Spain in 2008.
The company has launched a pre-paid card worth EUR 5 (VAT not included) which includes 300 minutes of telephone conversations that can be used in the Digi network in Romania, Spain and Italy and in the Digi Tel land line network in Romania. Outside the offer, the price is of 5 cents a minute.
The same pre-paid card will be used both in Romania and Italy, with the telecom company assigning a different telephone number for each location. Digi Mobil Italy will soon develop a network of distribution companies made of local stores, hoping to offer a competitive advantage to Romanian investors in Italy.
RCS & RDS is owned by local investor Zoltan Teszari.
