Romanian telecom provider RCS&RDS will take over all the radio licenses media group Central European Media Enterprises (CME) holds in Romania, namely Pro FM, Info Pro, Pro Clasic, Music FM and Dance FM, sources from the company told local news agency Mediafax.

RCS&RDS and CME have reached an agreement in this regard and the necessary documents are to be submitted to the National Audiovisual Council CNA.

CME holds the licenses for Pro FM, Info Pro and Pro Clasic via PRO TV SA., while the licenses for Music FM and Dance FM are owned by Campus Radio SRL., whose associates are PRO TV SA. – with a stake of 20% and Marius Dobre –80%.

The takeover should be made by transferring the licenses from Pro TV SA. to RCS&RDS and through making the Romanian telecom provider shareholder of Campus Radio SRL., with 100% of shares, reports Mediafax.

Transferring all the radio licenses to RCS&RDS is equivalent with CME’s exit from the Romanian radio market.
