L'Oreal appoints Gilles Antoine to lead Romanian subsidiary

Cosmetics company L’Oréal Romania appointed Gilles Antoine as new Country General Manager, replacing Richard Matalon, who has led the Romanain subsidiary for the last four years. Antoine started his career in L’Oréal, in France, 17 years ago, in the sales organisation. His international assignments covered countries like Mexico (where he was appointed Sales Director for Consumer Products Division), Brazil (where he was promoted as Commercial Director for Latin America, Consumer Products Division) and Venezuela.

In Romania the company has been present for over 14 years, has over 130 employees and a portfolio of nine brands distributed throughout the country. With sales of about EUR 19 billion in the first three quarters of 2011, L'Oréal is present in 130 countries and has 66,600 employees.
