Low cost airline Wizz Air will operate a new route from Romania’s Sibiu to London Luton Airport starting June 14, 2014, the company announced.

The new route will run twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, and tickets can be purchased for prices starting at RON 179 (some EUR 40).

“In 2013, Wizz Air had a 14 percent increase in traffic in Romania and considering the recent development in the network of routes, there are premises for this growth to continue,” reads the company’s statement.

Wizz Air is the largest low cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe and operates a fleet of 45 Airbus A320 aircrafts from 19 bases, over 300 routes linking 90 destinations in 35 countries.

Wizz Air has 1,700 employees and carried some 13.5 million passengers in 2013.
