Lukoil/ERG joint venture looks to buy Romanian wind farm in an estimated EUR 130 mln deal
Reports are surfacing that Russian oil company Lukoil and Italian firm ERG might buy a wind farm project in Romania. Under the name LUKErg Renew, the joint venture could purchase an 84 MW wind farm in Tulcea County in South Western Romania, according to business news service Bloomberg, which cites the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
Romanian newspaper Ziarul Financiar estimates the value of the deal at EUR 130 million and expects it to be complete by mid October of this year. There is also the suggestion that the EBRD may grant the joint venture a loan for the project, but no figures are given.
