Luxembourg fund buys retail, residential in Romania, wants EUR 5 mln portfolio in a year

30 October 2014

Luxembourg – based investment fund Tavirama has entered the Romanian market with EUR 1.2 million investments in two retail spaces and in a luxury apartment in Bucharest, according to law firm Gurău & Gurău, which offered legal consultancy for the transaction. More such deals will follow, as the fund plans to reach a EUR 5 million investment portfolio in Romania by end-2015.

“Romania currently offers numerous real estate opportunities. The market is at a low level compared to previous years, but there is still demand for leasing retail areas, especially in large cities’ neighborhoods,” said Florina Jurchiță, investment director with Tavirama Romania, who also announced the plans for 2015.

Tavirama is a private investment fund incorporated in Luxembourg and mostly active in real estate, with small and medium assets in Luxembourg, France, UK and Romania.
