Luxury properties transactions up by 12% in Romania
Transactions of luxury residential properties in Bucharest went up by 12% in 2014, encouraging developers to start large-scale projects on this segment, according to real estate agency Nordis, which has a portfolio of 2,500 properties in central and downtown Bucharest.
The new luxury properties offer for 2014-2015 more than 500 apartments which are being built in areas such as Soseaua Nordului-Herastrau, Primaverii, Floreasca, Kiseleff, and Aviatorilor.
"About 40% of those who acquired luxury properties in 2014 have chosen 3-room apartments, which are versatile, fit a young couple or family and have a good investment yield. The 4-room apartments were chosen by about 35%, most of them larger families, but not only," said Emanuel Postoaca, general manager of Nordis, cited by local Mediafax.
Two-room apartments are bought mainly by investors, due to lower prices and good rental potential.
