Man detonates explosive device in university hall during exam in Iasi, Romania

An explosion took place on Monday morning (July 8) in an university hall at the Gheorghe Asachi university in Iasi, Romania, during the final university exam. A man walked in the room with an explosive device and detonated it. There were no casualties and the Police is yet to give information about the attack.

The man, who was around 40, was wearing a backpack with an hand made explosive device, which he detonated, however nobody was injured. All the students were evicted and a team from the Romanian Intelligence Service SRI is currently on site. The attacker was taken into custody for hearings.
