Manufacturing companies in Romania see larger orders by 10%
Companies in the manufacturing sector received 9.8% higher orders in February compared to the same month last year.
The growth was mainly due to the higher demand recorded by companies in the chemical industry, pharma sector, and metallurgical industry, according to data published yesterday by the National Statistics Institute (INS).
In January, the new orders in the manufacturing industry rose by 7.8% compared to January 2016. In the first two months of the year, the increase was 9.2%.
New orders in the manufacturing industry represent an indication of the trends in the industrial activity, showing companies and analysts to what extent the activity is likely to increase or drop in the next period.
