Marky Ramone brings punk rock to Romania again

Punk rocker Marky Ramone, former drummer of the Ramones, will hold a concert in Bucharest on April 9, from 20:00, at the Jukebox club. The Bucharest concert is part of his 2012 tour and he will be accompanied by Michael Graves (ex-Misfits) – vocals, Crazy Joe –guitar and Graham Van derVeen -bass .

Marky Ramone (real name Marc Steven Bell) is an American musician best known as an original member of The Ramones. He has also played in other bands like Dust, Wayne County and the Backstreet Boys, Richard Hell & The Voidoids, and the Misfits. His previous concert in Romania was in October 2010.

All of the Ramones band members adopted pseudonyms ending with the surname “Ramone”, though none of them were actually related. They performed 2,263 concerts, touring for 22 years. In 1996, after a tour with the Lollapalooza music festival, the band played a farewell show and disbanded. Lead singer Joey Ramone, guitarist Johnny Ramone and bassist Dee Dee Ramone have all died.

Tickets for the concert in Bucharest cost RON 60 with seating and RON 40 – standing, and can be bought from Carturesti and Humanitas bookshops, Domo stores, and the networks Cosmote, Orange and Vodafone.
