McDonald’s expands food delivery service in Bucharest
Fast-food restaurant chain McDonald’s Romania plans to expand its delivery service, which is currently available for people working in office buildings in the Barbu Vacarescu, Pipera, and Promenada mall area in Bucharest, reports local Ziarul Financiar.
The company has started delivering food in the Piata Victoriei area three years ago. That was the first McDelivery project in the capital.
Daniel Boaje, who has been leading the local McDonald’s operations in the last six years, said that he is pondering to gradually expand the delivery program McDelivery. However, he explained that the restaurants must be prepared to provide this new service, so that home deliveries are carried out in maximum ten minutes.
The fast-food chain also wants to develop its coffee chain McCafe. It will open another two units by the end of the year.
McDonald’s network had sales of EUR 115 million in Romania in 2015.
