Media: Former Romanian MP partially admits guilt in illegal forest restitution case
Former Romanian deputy Viorel Hrebenciuc partially admitted the corruption crimes which he was accused of in the attempted illegal retrocession of 43,000 hectares of forest, according to the latest report of the prosecutors from the Brasov National Anticorruption Directorate DNA, cited by local Mediafax.
Prosecutors have asked the court to extend the preventive measures taken against the culprits in this case.
The former MP’s son, Andrei Hrebenciuc, together with Adam Ioan and Bengescu Dan Costin, also partially admitted the crimes they are accused of in this case. On the other hand, Paltin Gheorghe Sturdza, who was supposed to be the beneficiary of the 43,000 hectares of forests, didn't admit to any of the offense.
