Media: Romanians in rural areas change toothbrush once every 10 years
Romanians who live in the countryside change their toothbrushes once every 10 years, compared to two years in urban areas. Tooth paste consumption is also worrisome in rural areas: one tube every three years in rural areas, compared to 1.3 tubes in urban areas, according to Digi24.
Eight in ten Romanians have dental problems, which appear at early ages: seven out of 10 children up to 13 have cavities on their temporary teeth. Cavities then appear on their permanent teeth, and statistics show 90% of them stay untreated.
