Belgian-Dutch retailer Mega Image has opened its second supermarket in Cluj-Napoca, as well as its first supermarket in the seaside resort of Mamaia, in Constanta county.

In addition, the retailer has inaugurated two new Shop&Go units in Bucharest. Its network reached 557 stores.

The new Mega Image is located in downtown Cluj-Napoca. Its sales area amounts to 890 sqm.

The retailer has 20 stores in Constanta county.

"We continue to support and promote local producers through direct partnerships with them," said Vassilis Stavrou, Mega Image general manager.

The retailer had sales of over EUR 800 million and over 8,000 employees in 2015.
