Belgian retailer Mega Image has reopened under its own brands 18 Angst stores taken over from the Romanian-Swiss retailer Angst, the 19th store being integrated as an extension to the Mega Image supermarket in the Lacul Tei area in Bucharest.

Ten of these stores were reopened under the Mega Image brand, and eight under the Shop & Go brand, reports local Mediafax.

The Belgian group announced in August that it had reached an agreement to take over 20 of the 22 stores operated by the Angst network, after the local company pulled out of a collaboration with French retailer Carrefour, to focus on the production of processed meat.

Mega Image currently has a network of 392 locations, after integrating the Angst stores.
