06 June 2011

Michalis Imellos will be the new interim general manager of Coca-Cola HBC for Romania and the Republic of Modlova from July 4, replacing Calin Dragan, who has left to be director of operations for Coca – Cola in Japan, according to Magazinul Progresiv. Dragan took the helm of the local Coca – Cola Hellenic subsidiary in 2005.

Coca – Cola, which is present on the Romanian market since 1991, is made of Coca – Cola Romania SRL and Coca – Cola HBC Romania. The latter is the Coca-Cola bottling company. It has three factories in Romania and 1,900 employees.

Coca-Cola Hellenic’s net sales revenues in Romania declined by EUR 27.1 million mainly as a result of lower volume posted last year in the country, according to a report presented by the company. Coca-Cola Hellenic previously announced that the Romanian market sales volume dropped by 4 percent to 952.7 million liters because of difficult economic conditions and tough austerity measures that have affected consumer demand.
