Mihai Bogza, president of Bancpost in Romania, takes helm of Foreign Investors Council
Mihai Bogza, president of the board at Bancpost in Romania, is the new president of the Foreign Investors Council, replacing Steven van Groningen, president and CEO of Raiffeisen Bank, who has held the helm of the FIC for the last year. Steven van Groningen is now a vice-president of FIC, together with Eric Stab, president & CEO of GDF Suez Energy. The treasurer is Daniel Anghel, a partner with PwC.
Mihai Bogza has been Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bancpost since May 2005. Between 2009-2011 he was also CEO of the Bank. From 1998 to 2004, Bogza was Vice Governor of the National Bank of Romania, in charge of coordinating regulation, authorization and prudential supervision activities. He holds a PhD in Finance from the Romanian Academy of Economic Studies.

The Foreign Investors Council is an association of the most important foreign investors in Romania, and it currently has 123 member companies, whose joint investments in Romania value some EUR 35 billion, which is two thirds of the total foreign investments in Romania since 1990.
