Moby, first artist confirmed for the Mission Dance Weekend in Romania
The fourth edition of the Mission Dance Weekend festival will take place on August 5 and 6 in Navodari seaside resort at the Black Sea in Romania and will feature American artist Moby. He will perform live on the second day of the event. Details about ticket prices for the August event are yet to be announced.
Moby’s concert is part of the tour for promoting his latest album “Destroyed”, that will be released on May 16. This is the third time Moby comes in Romania. The artist played for the Prodigy’s opening act in Bucharest in 1995 and at B’estfest festival in 2009.
Moby, by his real name Richard Melville Hall, studied classical guitar and at the age of 13, he joined hardcore punk band “The Vatican Comandoes” in Connecticut. In 1991, he released his first single “Go”, the song that was among the “Best Records of All Time”.
His songs sold over 20 million copies worldwide. Meanwhile, Moby produced and remixed several tracks for artists like David Bowie, Public Enemyes, Metallica and many others.
