MOL invests EUR 3 mln in two new gas stations in Romania
Hungarian oil group MOL has opened two new gas stations in Romania, in Busteni and Rasnov, under the Fresh Corner concept.
A greenfield investment in a gas station amounts to EUR 1-1.5 million. This means that MOL has invested about EUR 2-3 million in the new gas stations, reports local News.ro.
The Hungarian group currently has 210 units gas stations in Romania, 67 of them under the Fresh Corner concept.
It launched the Fresh Corner project two years ago. The gas stations have a focus on gastronomy and people can shop for home. MOL wants to reach 100 Fresh Corner gas stations in Romania by the end of this year, Lars Höglund, MOL senior deputy president, said yesterday.
MOL Romania plans total investments of EUR 10-15 million for this year. The group also intends to soon inaugurate the first charging station for electric cars in Romania, Höglund added.
MOL has about 2,000 gas stations in Central and Eastern Europe.
