MOL Romania ups turnover by 5.1% in 2013
MOL Romania, part of Hungarian group MOL, ended 2013 with a turnover of some EUR 979 million, up 5.1 percent year-on-year, due to higher sales volumes. In 2012, the company had a turnover of EUR 931 million.
“In 2013, the retail sales of MOL Romania, in volume (including fuel, LPG and lubricants), increased by 7 percent to 503,000 tonnes, compared to 469,000 tonnes in 2012,” according to data from the company, quoted by local Mediafax.
“Last year we announced the opening of 8 new gas stations, and earlier this year we opened another 4, thus our network reached a total of 147 gas stations. We’ll continue this growth strategy and we’ll make further investments in downstream operations,” according to the company.
For 2013, MOL Romania reported a profit of EUR 20.3 million, up from EUR 17 million in 2012.
