Romanians built and repaired more in the first quarter of this year. The volume of construction work increased by 13.4% as gross series and by 12.5% as adjusted series, based on working days and seasonality, compared to the same period last year.

March brought an even higher advance: construction work rose by 47.2% as gross series compared to the previous month, and by 4.4% as adjusted series.

Construction work went up in March by 13.8% as gross series compared to March 2014, and by 9.7% as adjusted series.

Capital repair work more than doubled in March compared to the previous month, whereas new construction work rose by 43.1%. Maintenance and current repair works grew by 28.3% in March from February.
