Irish low-cost airline Ryanair will introduce four new weekly flights on the Bucharest-Timisoara route starting October.

Romanian state-owned airline Tarom will also have two extra flights each week on this route.

The changes are part of the winter schedule, which comes into force on October 28.

Ryanair, which currently has 12 return flights a week from Bucharest to Timisoara, will have 16 weekly flights, starting end-October. Tarom will reach 28 flights a week.

Over a quarter of the passengers who flew from or to Timisoara in the first eight months of this year went to or came from Bucharest, according to the representatives of the Traian Vuia International Airport in Timisoara.
