More men than women buy online in Romania
Most Romanians who shop online are men (66%) and only 34% of them are women.
By comparison, in Bulgaria 58% of the online shoppers are women and 42% men, whereas in Hungary 51% are women and 49% men.
The Romanian online buyer profiles fall into six categories, according to a Compari.ro study. Experts make the biggest group, with 29%, followed by discount hunters with 18%, those who only check (16%), beginners (13%) and adventurers (12%).
Romanians buy mostly electronics - computer components, mobile phones or tablets. Bulgarians buy almost equally electronics and clothing, whereas Hungarians buy more books and clothes online.
