More Romanians search for jobs on freelance platforms
The number of Romanians searching for work on freelance platforms has seen a significant increase, said Ionut Simion, PwC Country Managing Partner.
The jobs available on these platforms include IT and design work, translations or text editing in various languages.
“The labor market is changing,” said Simion.
Many people prefer contracts services to full-time jobs as they have more flexibility and more autonomy. In the future, people could turn more into members of a certain professional network rather than employees of a company, he added.
However, the interconnected work raises a series of questions on the jobs’ social protection, such as pensions, health and social welfare, the PwC Country Managing Partner said.
