More tourists choose the Romanian seaside in August

Despite the rainy weather, the revenues generated by companies with activities at the Romanian seaside amounted to EUR 120 million in August, four times higher than the EUR 30 million registered in June, according to calculations made by tourism operators, cited by local Capital. Some 800,000 tourists went to the seaside in August.

According to Adrian Voican, general manager of Bibi Touring, Mamaia ranks first among the seaside resorts, holding a share of 55% of total sales, followed by Eforie Nord with 11%, Jupiter – 7%, Neptun and Venus. Also, early bookings represented 30% of total sales for the seaside in the first seven months, up from 13% in 2012.
