Moving and relocation brings EUR 0.4 mln profits to six providers in Romania

The businesses of the largest moving and relocation companies in Romania managed to go slightly up last year, compared to 2009. The six companies analyzed by Romania-Insider.com together made revenues of EUR 4.7 million, up from EUR 4.5 million in 2009. All these six companies made a profit this year, while last year, only four were in the black. The total profits this year reached almost EUR 0.4 million.

The biggest volume of revenues was reported by Interdean, with EUR 1.7 million from moving and relocation services, similarly to the year before. Second came AGS, with revenues of EUR 1.58 million, as reported to the Finance Ministry in Romania. The company grew its revenues from EUR 1.3 million in 2009.

CDD Relocation's revenues slightly exceeded EUR 0.5 million, down on last year's, while Rilvan grew its business from EUR 240,000 in 2009, to EUR 336,000 in 2010. Corstjens had revenues of EUR 321,000 last year, almost double the revenues posted in 2009.

The moving and relocation business turned out to be more profitable for some than for others. The biggest profit was achieved by Interdean, with EUR 161,000. Rilvan, though fourth in line based on revenues, posted the second largest profit of the analyzed companies, with EUR 96,000 profit for last year. This was almost double the year before. AGS managed to turn profitable last year, with EUR 69,000 profit, after a loss of EUR 46,000 in 2009, while Corstjens also turned to black, with a profit of EUR 18,000, after a loss of EUR 46,000 in 2009.
