Romanian classifieds website tocmai.ro will close down end-March, after its recent buyer, South-African investment fund Naspers, will move all the ads to online competitor platform olx.ro, which it also controls.

Between March 13 and 30, users on tocmai.ro can give their consent for the ads’ migration to olx.ro.

In February, Naspers, which owns OLX.ro, took over tocmai.ro. The fund reached an agreement with Norwegian group Schibsted, which controlled 95% of tocmai.ro, to take over its classifieds operations in Romania and Portugal.

In exchange, Naspers sold their similar operations in Hungary to Schibsted.

Olx.ro is the highest ranked Romanian website, based on daily unique visitors and pageviews, while tocmai.ro comes second.

Naspers also owns eMAG.ro, the largest online retailer in Romania, as well as other e-commerce websites.
