Net average earnings go over EUR 500 in Bucharest and three counties
The net average earnings exceeded RON 2,200 (around EUR 500) only in Bucharest and the Ilfov, Cluj, and Timis counties in June.
At national level, the net average earnings rose by 14.3% in June compared to the same month in 2015 reaching RON 2,078 (EUR 460). In 17 counties in Romania, the earnings remained below RON 1,600 (EUR 360).
The earnings include both salaries, as well as any vouchers and bonuses received by employees.
The employees in Bucharest had the biggest wages in the country, with net average earnings of EUR 631 in June. In Cluj, the earnings amounted to about EUR 505.
