New ambassadors of Romanian tourism to be named in December, fashion designer among favorites
The National Tourism Authority ANT will name new ambassadors of Romanian tourism, in December, with fashion designer Catalin Botezatu among the nominees.
“Catalin Botezatu has constant actions, a life dedicated to promoting Romania abroad, so we must surely nominate him,” said ANT president Anca Pavel Nedea, cited by local Mediafax.
She added that she would have a list of proposals by the end of the year, which would include two or three ambassadors.
Catalin Botezatu is a Romanian fashion designer and media personality. Besides having fashion presentations on the most important stages in the world, such as New York and Las Vegas, he also hosted several TV shows such as Next Top Model and The Bachelor.
Botezatu was also a model. In 1985, he qualified as a model for presentations abroad and, after only a few months, he was awarded the title “European Male Model of the Year.”
To date, more than 20 personalities received the title of tourism ambassadors in Romania, through a program launched in 2013.
