New artificial snow ski slope opens today in Romanian resort of Sinaia
A new ski slope with artificial snow opened today ( January 17 ) in Romania’s mountain resort Sinaia, according to the city's Mayor, Vlad Oprea.
“This is just the beginning for ski slopes with artificial snow in Sinaia,” said Vlad Oprea
The new slope connects Cota 1,400 to Cota 1,000 - the starting point of the cable car. A beginner's ski slope is located at the cable car station. The new slope has a total length of 2,000 meters, and an medium degree of difficulty.
Sinaia is the oldest tourist resort in Romania, also known as ‘the pearl of the Carpathians’. Read more about this region and other mountain resorts in Romania here.
