People can work for food in new Bucharest charity store
A new charity store where those with financial problems can work in exchange for the necessary products was opened on Wednesday, September 27, in Bucharest’s Sector 6.
The new SocialXChange charity store is located in Drumul Taberei neighborhood, being part of the project with the same name started in 2015, according to a press release from Sector 6 City Hall.
Within the SocialXChange program, the authorities collect food or other products from individuals or companies, and then distribute them to the poor people or families. People need to do some community work to benefit from these products.
The evaluation of the work done by these people, as well as the donations, is done based on a system of points that excludes the contribution of money.
