New car registrations up in June in Romania
Almost 7,000 new cars were registered in Romania in June, up 15.8 percent month-on-month, according to provisional data from Romania’s Directorate for Driving Licenses and Vehicle Registration (DRPCIV), cited by local Agerpres.
Most of the new registered cars were Dacia - over 2,500 units, followed by Volkswagen - 598, Skoda - 580, Ford - 614 and Renault - 394.
The rarest car brands sold in Romania in June were MINI - nine units, Jaguar - seven units, SsangYong and Subaru - three units each, Alfa Romeo - two units and Bentley, Infiniti, Lancia, smart and Tesla Motors - one unit each.
Romania’s car fleet reached a total of 5.98 million vehicles in 2013, up 4.73 percent year-on-year.
