Romania's new online Corruption Museum puts famous bribery cases on display
Corruption turned into art. This is the theme of a new online museum recently launched in Romania which exhibits virtual paintings of the most incredible bribery cases in Romania.
Romania's new Corruption Museum hosts the Bribes’ Gallery, where visitors can find some of the most famous cases of bribery in Romania, and the Bribe Test, which lets people test their knowledge on local corruption. The museum’s website is currently available only in Romanian.
Kinecto Isobar is the digital agency behind the Corruption Museum, reports local Mediafax. To create the project, the copywriters studied dozens of cases and chose the most incredible ones.
“Some bribes were so incredible that you can’t tell if they are real or invented: from millions of euros to sheep or bottled water,” said Denisa Armasu, Senior Copywriter at Kinecto Isobar.
Bribe in the cemetery, Paintings and bullion, Seven doors from Buhusi, and Bridge in the Ditch commune are just some of the paintings displayed in the museum. For example, Bribes in the cemetery refers to the case of former minister of finance Darius Valcov, who was accused of getting bribes when he was the mayor of Slatina. The media wrote that Valcov even went to a cemetery to collect the money.
The museum can also be visited through a 360-degree YouTube video (see it below). The experience is available on mobile phones, and the visitors can head the phone to any direction to discover all the exhibits.
