A new edition of Promenada Operei will take place in Romania’s capital this August. Concerts of classical music and ballet performances will be organized outdoor, on the esplanade of the Bucharest National Opera (ONB), on August 30, 20:30.

This year’s edition of the event will also include choreographic works, besides the famous opera titles, according to a statement of ONB.

Promenada Operei is a preview of the institution’s upcoming season, disclosing some of the main titles, special events and related cultural activities. The event’s program includes fragments of Verdi’s La Traviata, directed by Paul Curran, and Falstaff, directed by Graham Vick, and Giacomo Puccini’s Manon Lescaut.

Last year’s edition of Promenada Operei gathered some 10,000 spectators.
