New EUR 4.5 mln financing session for Romanian film productions
Romania’s National Center for Cinematography has launched a new financing session for local film productions.
The total budget allotted for this session is RON 20 million (almost EUR 4.5 million).
More than half of this budget, namely RON 10.8 million will be granted to fiction movies. Some RON 4 million will be allotted for debut movies while documentaries and animation movies will get RON 2 million each, and short movies will be financed with RON 1 million.
The maximum financing for a single project is RON 3 million for fiction movies, RON 2 million for debuts, RON 1 million for animations, and RON 650,000 for documentaries.
Filmmakers interested in getting the state funds can submit their projects by October 20. The financed projects will be announced on December 15.
