New fall re-branding: Romanian telecom supplier RCS & RDS rolls out Digi brand on its shops
Romanian telecom provider RCS & RDS recently opened its first store under the brand Digi, a brand under which the company has already been selling its product packages for some time in Romania. The shop, which is located downtown Bucharest on 1 Magheru Blvd., is the first step in a re-branding process of all RCS & RDS' stores to Digi.
So far, RCS & RDS has used the Digi brand for its product packages, as well as for its host of TV stations, while the shops were the last to keep the old brand.
The re-branding comes within days after competitors Romtelecom and Cosmote re-branded as Telekom, and started offering a four-play package of services, a direct competitor to RCS & RDS.
The shop downtown Bucharest covers 100 sqm and includes a counseling area and a sales area for all its products, plus an area where monthly bill payments can be made. The shop is located at the ground floor of the office building Magheru One.
The opening in Bucharest is accompanied by similar openings in Oradea, Constanța, Galați. RCS & RDS will implement the new concept, and the new brand, gradually across its 300 – unit network all over Romania.
The company has activities in Romania, Hungary, Spain, Italy and the Czech Republic. It offers cable TV services, Internet, landline and mobile telephony, as well as runs several TV stations.
