New GM in place for Pfizer Romania
The Romanian subsidiary of pharma company Pfizer has a new CEO: R. Nolan Townsend has replaced Gregory S. Reeder, after the latter became marketing head for European vaccines within Pfizer.
Townsend has been working with Pfizer for the last 11 years, and was previously at the helm of the Ukrainian division. Before joining Pfizer, he worked in investment banking with Lehman Brothers, specializing in mergers and acquisitions and pharma company financing.
According to Cegedim, Pfizer ranks fifth in Romania, with a 5.1 percent market share, and sales of some EUR 137 million in 2013.
