A total of 140 km of highway will be inaugurated in Romania by December 2013, new highway segments being set for completion this year, according to Dan Sova, minister delegate for infrastructure projects and foreign investments.

“As promised, 140 km of highway will be inaugurated by December this year. The segments Lugoj - Deva, lot 1, and Orastie - Sibiu, lots 1,2,3 and 4 will be finished by end-2013,” said Dan Sova, quoted by local news agency Agerpres.

However, the Romanian minister added that there might be a delay in Orastie-Sibiu lot 3, which might be finished in April instead of December, due to a landslide in the area.
