Bucharest will welcome a new mall this spring as the first stage of Pipera Plaza shopping center in Bucharest will be completed in May.

Alpha Property Group, part of Intercora group, and Romanian investor Marius Ivan develop the project on the former Pipera market premises in Northern Bucharest.

The first stage of the project covers 7,500 sqm but the mall’s area will double in autumn, with the second stage.

Pipera Plaza will include the largest Starbucks cafe in Romania, as well as the largest Lidl and Jysk units in the country. Some of the mall’s other tenants will be Sportisimo, Takko, Pepco, Wine Republic, Salad Box, CTS Corner, Dinner Food and FarmaVital.

Its development strategy also includes a pop-up store that will be offered to brands for short periods of time.  Pipera Plaza will also host different events in the weekend, such as the weekend market and bio products fairs.

Another mall will open in Bucharest this April.
