New movies at German Film Days in Bucharest this November

The eleventh edition of German Film Days will take place at the Eforie Cinema in Bucharest between November 4 and November 10.

The event’s lineup includes a total of 23 new movies, namely 12 feature films and 11 short films. The movies, which cover a broad range of genres, from drama, comedy, horror, and thriller, to politics and social, were produced in 2015 and 2016.

The program also includes the first sound film of great German filmmaker Fritz Lang, called M - A city looks for a murderer.

The Colony, directed by Florian Gallenberger and starring Emma Watson and Daniel Bruhl, will open this year’s edition of the festival. Other movies to be screened during the event are drama films Babai directed by Visar Morina, Freistatt by Marc Brummund, Fukushima, mon amour by Doris Dörrie, and Fado by Jonas Rothlaender.

German Film Days also includes a night dedicated to horror and thriller productions, when movie fans will get the chance to see We Monsters directed by Sebastian Ko, and Sibylle by Michael Krummenacher.

The last film screening will take place at Control Club in Bucharest, on November 10.
