New obligations for internet providers in Romania

21 July 2017

Romania’s telecom regulator ANCOM will change the set of obligations imposed on internet providers with new quality indicators to check the promised internet speed and the actual delivery rate, according to an ANCOM document.

Internet providers will be obliged to publish the values of the quality parameters for the service provided and to include them in contracts with end-users.

Consumers will thus have the information that allows them to compare the services offered by different suppliers in terms of quality.
