New real estate project in Cluj, on the plot of former beer factory
Romanian companies Drusal and Florisal will open a new real estate project in Cluj-Napoca this spring, which will include an apart-hotel, a residential project, and a shopping center, with an investment of EUR 25 million, reports local Mediafax.
The project is located on the plot of the former Ursus beer factory in the center of Cluj-Napoca and is the third project built under the Platinia brand. The first two projects Platinia Lounge Residence and Platinia Elite Residence are mixed ensembles consisting of apartments, offices, and commercial spaces.
The new residential project includes two buildings with six levels and 187 apartments, with two and three rooms. All the apartments have been sold, with an average price of EUR 1,500 per sqm.
Platinia is located only ten minutes away from Cluj-Napoca’s Central Park, the Cluj Arena Stadium, and the Polivalent Hall. The 11-floor apart-hotel Platinia Luxury Suites has 120 apartments. The commercial galleria Platinia Shopping Center is located at the ground floor and the mezzanine of the whole project, with a floor area of 14,000 sqm. Its main anchor is Belgian retailer Mega Image, which will thus make its entry on the market in Cluj-Napoca.
Drusal and Florisal started as sanitation companies active in Baia Mare and Satu Mare, but have expanded their portfolios to real estate in recent years. The two companies are controlled by local investor Vasile Puscas, the son-in-law of former interior minister Ioan Rus, according to the local media.
