07 March 2014

A new ski slope was inaugurated on Thursday (March 6) in the Romanian spa resort of Slanic Moldova, in Bacau county, following an investment of some EUR 5.6 million.

The project was funded by the European Union and the County Council, reports local Mediafax.

Located in the northern part of Slanic Moldova, the new slope has a length of more than 1,400 meters and is equipped with cable transport, artificial snow installation, nocturnal lighting, parking and mountain rescue service.

Silviu Botez, the manager of the project, said earlier this year that the aim of the project is to increase the number of tourists in the area.
