Romania's communications authority ANCOM launched on Wednesday, March 18, a new auction to allocate 52 national, regional and local licenses for digital terrestrial television.

These weren’t assigned in the previous auctions.

Those interested must purchase the tender book for RON 4,000 (EUR 899).

The minimum license fee, which represents the starting price in the auction for each of the two national multiplexes, amounts to EUR 300,000, and varies between EUR 1,000 and EUR 10,000 for the regional and local multiplexes.

The auction can continue with primary bid rounds for the multiplexes if demand exceeds supply.
