New TV station Agro Channel to broadcast shows on farming, rural development
An agricultural-themed TV station will be launched in Romania, after it has recently received the approval from the Romanian Audiovisual Council (CNA). The TV station, called Agro Channel, will be launched by the end of the year by Valtec Media Broadcasting SRL and will be headed by Bogdan Tudor, who also owns 10 percent of the shares. The other two shareholders are Narcis Somesfalean and Adrian Nedelcu.
The TV station will draw on the model of similar stations in Argentina. It will broadcast shows about the rural development and farming.
The TV station will broadcast its own productions during 80 percent of the time. The investment is of around EUR 100,000. Its owners expect operational revenues of around RON 3.8 million (around EUR 900,000) by August 2011.
