Nexans Autoelectric builds factory in southwestern Romania

German group Nexans Autoelectric will build a plant that will produce cables for the German company Daimler in Targu-Jiu, southwestern Romania.

The investors will build the factory on a 4-hectare plot, leased for 49 years from the City Hall Targu-Jiu, reports local Economica.net.

The local municipality will sign this week the contract with the German group Nexans Autoelectric.

The factory will create around 2,000 jobs, said mayor Florin Carciumaru. Construction will start in September, and opening is due at the end of the year.
