Nicolas Cage, back to Romania to shoot new movie
Hollywood actor Nicolas Cage is currently in Romania to shoot the film The Dying of the Light. With shooting scheduled to take place in Bucharest and at the Castel; Film studios, the actor, together with his wife and nine-year old won also spent a day on the Romanian seaside, in the resort of Mamaia, before heading back to the Romanian capital.
The Dying of the Light, written and directed by Paul Schrader, is scheduled to premiere in 2015. 50-year old Cage plays a CIA agent who begins to go blind while on his last-ever assignment.
This is not Cage's first movie shot in Romania. In 2010, shooting for Ghost Rider - Spirit of Vengeance also took place in Romania, bringing Cage to Bucharest and to the Transylvanian Bran castle.
Other feature-length films shot in Romania include Cold Mountain and Borat.
In 2012, Sharon Stone and Andy Garcia also came to Romania to shoot the film ‘What about love’.
