No more roaming tariffs in EU starting this summer
The roaming tariffs will be removed in the European Union starting June 15 this year, said Catalin Marinescu, president of the National Communications Authority (ANCOM), reports Agerpres.
This will apply to both users with subscriptions and cards. For example, if a telecom user has 300 free minutes in the national network, they can be used within the EU without an extra tariff.
However, if the users can talk limitless in the national network, telecom providers will be able to set some “reasonable limits” agreed at European level.
ANCOM has more responsibilities in monitoring how these will be applied, Marinescu added.
